Dear Clients, Partners, and Friends:

On March 27th, 2020, iLobby® had scheduled a company-wide volunteer event for Baycrest Hospital’s Circle of Care program as part of our iLobby CaresTM initiative to give back to our community. Unfortunately, we had to make the decision to cancel the event in response to COVID-19, due to safety concerns for the vulnerable individuals whom we had committed to helping. It was a disheartening decision, as now is the time when these individuals need our support more than ever.

COVID-19 has brought about mandatory closures and social distancing measures that have resulted in hospital visitations being restricted, even to immediate family. Visitations give a great sense of hope to individuals in long-term care, and many of these individuals need hope during this time.

I’m pleased to say that we found a way to be part of the solution by donating $30,000 worth of iPads to help long-term care patients in hospitals connect with their families during this difficult time. These iPads will enable these individuals to reach their families through video chat. As part of our response during COVID-19, iLobby® will be donating iPads to the Baycrest Hospital long-term care facility, as well as other long-term care facilities and hospitals in the coming weeks.

The iLobby Cares™ initiative is part of our broader mission as a company to inspire action and make a positive impact in the world. Although we were unable to meet our initial promise through our event, our team found a way to push past these limitations and find an alternative avenue to enrich the lives of individuals in our community during this challenging time.

Right now, it’s important to stay strong and to remember that we are all in this together. It is more important now than ever that we all do our part, and I think that it’s especially important for leaders to step up and do whatever is within our power to stand behind our communities.

Leaders are defined by their actions during the difficult times. It’s during times like these that we must not be deterred by the problems in front of us, but rather focus on finding solutions that we can implement. Leaders and managers need to come together to make sure their teams and neighbours are doing well and to find ways to give back in this time of need.

It’s understandable that not every company has the means to make a monetary contribution, or the resources to provide the equipment needed to protect our community right now. However, I believe that leaders should be contributing whatever is within their means to do so.

Problems don’t stop entrepreneurs, and we must find ways to keep going and to adapt to the changing circumstances.

As a company, we are committed to doing everything we can for our clients, team members, and the greater community. iLobby® prioritizes supporting our community, just as we prioritized our clients with the rapid implementation of COVID-19 workflows into our clients’ business processes in order to screen for potential risks and protect their employees amid these new workplace conditions.

The iLobby® team continues to adapt quickly to the circumstances, and I encourage and challenge all leaders and managers to find ways to help their communities. No gesture is too small during these challenging times.

Thank you and stay well,
